HOW TO USE A RICE COOKER

Measure the rice: Use the measuring cup that came with the rice cooker to measure the amount of rice you want to cook. Typically, one cup of uncooked rice yields about two cups of cooked rice.

Rinse the rice: Rinse the rice in cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch and impurities.

Add water: Add water to the rice cooker according to the manufacturer's instructions. The ratio of rice to water varies depending on the type of rice you're cooking. Generally, you'll need about 1 1/2 to 2 cups of water for every cup of rice.

Add seasonings (optional): You can add salt, butter, or other seasonings to the water if desired.

Turn on the rice cooker: Place the inner pot into the rice cooker, close the lid, and turn on the cooker.

Wait for the rice to cook: The rice cooker will automatically turn off when the rice is done. This usually takes about 20 to 30 minutes.

Let the rice sit: Once the rice cooker has turned off, let the rice sit in the cooker for 10 to 15 minutes to allow it to steam and absorb any remaining water.

Fluff the rice: Use a fork or rice paddle to fluff the rice and serve.

Note: Always refer to the manufacturer's instructions for your specific rice cooker as the exact steps and measurements may vary.
